One Wall is built to collect as little about you as possible. You don't need an account, there are no tracking cookies, no analytics and no ads.

One Wall is run by Kenny Haek, trading as Viking Labs, a sole trader (eenmanszaak) registered in Belgium.

What we store, and why
Pictures you upload
The picture, the title and the name you type (which can be a nickname or left empty), and when it was hung. We need these to run the game (the contract with you). The picture is re-saved by our server, which removes hidden data such as the GPS location from phone photos. Pictures on the wall and in "Longest holds" are public.
Pictures that were checked but never paid for are deleted after 24 hours. Pictures that are removed for breaking the rules are deleted after 30 days, unless we must keep them longer to report illegal content to the authorities.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We only store a payment reference, the amount and whether it went through, which we need to carry out your purchase, give refunds, and keep our accounts. We never receive your card details. Accounting records are kept as long as Belgian accounting and tax law requires.
Protection against abuse
To limit how many uploads and reports can come from one connection, we store a scrambled code made from your IP address with a secret key. We never store the IP address itself, and these codes are cleared after 30 days. This is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the game fair and safe.
Reports
If you report a picture, we store the reason, your explanation and, only if you enter it, your email address, so we can review the report and answer you. Closed reports are deleted after 12 months.
Who else processes data
- Hostinger hosts the website and database.
- OpenAI checks every picture, title and name for content that isn't allowed, before you pay. OpenAI does not use this data to train its models, and may keep it for up to 30 days to detect abuse. OpenAI is based in the United States. The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Stripe handles payments. For the payment itself Stripe acts as its own controller, under Stripe's privacy policy.
We don't sell data and don't share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it, for example when we report illegal content to the police.
Cookies
Visitors get no cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so your browser doesn't contact other companies when you open One Wall. Only the administrator gets a login cookie.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit how we use it, to object to its use, or to receive it in a common format. Email info@vikinglabs.be. Because there are no accounts, we may ask you to show that a picture is yours, for example with the payment receipt from Stripe.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
