Terms of use
Last updated 27 September 2026
These terms apply when you use One Wall and when you pay to hang or defend a picture. By paying you accept them. They do not take away any rights you have as a consumer under the law.

2. What One Wall is
One Wall shows one picture at a time. Anyone can replace it by paying the price shown, and anyone can make it more expensive to replace by raising the price. The site shows how long the current picture has held.
- Replacing: you pay the current price. Your picture goes up, and the price resets to €2.00.
- Raising: you pay €1, €5 or €10, and the price to replace the current picture goes up by that amount. You don't need to own the picture to raise it.
- Decay: the price drops by 0.5% per hour, continuously, and never below €2.00.
3. Who can pay
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, and use a payment method you are allowed to use.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in euro and are the final amount you pay. There are no extra costs. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
5. What you buy
You pay for an attempt, not for time. A replacement buys the moment your picture goes up. Anyone can replace it again one minute later by paying the price at that moment. A raise buys a higher price at that moment, which then decays like any other price.
The service is carried out, and completed, the moment your payment is confirmed: your picture goes up, or the price goes up.
6. When your payment is refunded
- Outbid. If the price goes above the amount you are paying before your payment is confirmed (for example because someone raised it while you were paying), your picture does not go up and your payment is refunded in full, automatically. Refunds usually show on your account within 5 to 10 working days.
- Our mistake. If you paid and the service was not carried out because of a technical error on our side, we refund you in full. Contact us at info@vikinglabs.be.
There is no refund when your picture is replaced by someone else, when the price you raised is overtaken, or when a picture is removed because it breaks the rules.
7. Right of withdrawal
For online purchases you normally have 14 days to change your mind. Because One Wall carries out your purchase immediately, you are asked before paying to confirm that it should start right away and that you understand you can't cancel afterwards, which means you lose this right once it has been carried out (article VI.53, 1° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). As each replacement or raise is completed the moment it is confirmed, the right of withdrawal no longer applies after that. This does not affect the refunds in section 6.
8. Your picture
- You keep all rights to the pictures you upload.
- You confirm that you are allowed to use the picture, that you have permission from anyone recognisable in it, and that it follows the rules.
- You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to store, resize and show the picture, its title and the name you entered on One Wall, including in "Longest holds" and the history of the wall, for as long as it stays on the site.
- Everything on the wall is public. Anyone can see it, and we cannot stop people from taking screenshots.
- You can ask us at any time to remove your picture from the history. This does not lead to a refund.
9. Moderation
Every picture, title and name is checked automatically before you pay. Pictures that are reported are reviewed by a person. We may remove any picture that breaks the rules or the law, without a refund, and may refuse further uploads from someone who breaks the rules repeatedly. How this works is explained in the rules.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep One Wall running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change the game (for example prices, raise amounts or the decay rate) for future purchases. Changes never affect a purchase you have already made. We may also end One Wall. Purchases that were already carried out are not refunded when that happens.
11. Liability
We are responsible for carrying out what you paid for. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, or for what other players upload or do. For anything else our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. None of this limits our liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything else that by law cannot be limited.
12. Complaints
If something went wrong, email info@vikinglabs.be. We reply within 14 days. If we can't solve it together, you can contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
13. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection that the mandatory rules of your own country give you, and you can also go to the courts of the place where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one shown here when you pay.
